Question

- I only know some things here and there about engines.
Learned some stuff from the 5th gen accord.

I knew the accord has a throttle cable and another cable next to it that had to be sort of "tight".

On the prelude i only have one.
I was wondering if its suppose to be this lose?

- No, i didn't make the throttle body valve open when i did this.
I only moved it as much as it went without "pressure"

Sorry for being a noob!

Thankss

Re: Question

its mostly preferance, but normally no, it shouldn't be that slack. if you don't like how the gas pedal is loose for the first couple centimeters, just tighten the cable so there's no slack in the cable. tighten it all the way so that the TB still remains closed; it'll be painfully obvious to feel when you start opening the TB. and no it won't hurt to play w/ the TB with the car off, so just get a feel for it.
