Icon5 Retrofit!!!!!!

Im planning to buy one of those black housing ebay headlights and I was wondering if you can retro those but keep them looking like halos.... I didnt find a post about this, I looked around. I heard those lights lack on light output thats why I want to retro them.... can BMW lights be retrofitted on a 5th gen lude? or is it easier to just put HID's on them?

Re: Retrofit!!!!!!

I was looking at those too, they look great in the pictures. I was worried HID's would melt them if they are uber-cheapy plastic.

Retrofit BMW lights for prelude sounds like a PITA with our headlights being the weird shape they are.

I like the halo look a lot too so I'm going to be watching this thread to see if anyone else has input.

Re: Retrofit!!!!!!

I retrofitted a pair of the 1st Gen ebay projector lights, and all I could fit were the e46 single xenon projectors. An issue with using those lights to retrofit is that you're limited to the amount of space provided with those lights. That's why I suggest just using your OEM lights to use for a retrofit. You can add halos/angel eyes, but I've yet to see a good pair that last for very long. The only ones that probably last the longest are the OEM ones that come on BMW's...
