2.0 prelude

Hi everyone,

I'm about to buy prelude and at the moment I can't understand how much of a difference for everyday home >< work car would be 2.0 instead of 2.2 vti one. Well, I understand 2.2 is nice and all, but 2.0 has leather interior and alarm system installed. 2.2 one looks better :) is "younger" (1998).

Thanks in advance,
Gitchi

Re: 2.0 prelude

Either one is good man, the 2.0 will probably have better gas mileage for daily driving.

Re: 2.0 prelude

What do you want in the car mate? The 2.2 VTi will be faster, and if you plan on upgrading or modifying it, there's a bunch of parts that you can get 'off the shelf'. However the 2.0L will be better on fuel, and while they can still be modified, there's a lot less aftermarket support, meaning just about everything you do will need to be custom made.

I think I won't modify engine, might change stuff like air intake(?) and exaust at some point but it's not priority. What I want to do is modify it's exterior - body kit, rims, headlights and stuff like that. I have always drivven cars with 1.4 or 1.6 engines so even 2.0 is enough for me, I'm calm driver ;)

Afterall I decided to go with 2.0 one because leather seats are just too nice to pass on it :) Gonna make some pictures this weekend to share here and ask for some advice on what to do first (like what to change and what to check).

Re: 2.0 prelude

There actually isnt much difference (if at all) in MPG between the 2.0 and 2.2 Vti, for average daily driving.

Once you put the foot down and start enjoying VTEC, things change though ;).
