Re: OEM Strut Bar....

Unless you have Type S shock top hats you can't mount this.

Re: OEM Strut Bar....

Specs as in what?

Though the above posts is correct, unless you have the top hats from the Type S this won't fit. Come to think of it, they need to be modified to fit a non ATTS car as well.

Yes, you NEED the top hats and bolts to make it fit.

Although after a little google searching( which I might add would be your friend since that is also where I found that pic....I mean seriously, took me less that 20 second to find that picture and a few other websites with info on the bar it self.) I saw a few people that simply drilled new holes, but I can't imagine that being any good for the durability of something that depends on its design for stiffness....

EDIT: 2 more minutes in google brought me this
http://yhst-1408381693991.stores.yah...tysttobar.html

and before you ask ICB motorsports is one of the more reputable parts sites for our cars, so you should be good to go if you want to order from them.
Case Closed.

Re: OEM Strut Bar....

saw a guy who did have to do some fab to his bay. by drilling holes.

prob not a great idea, defeats some of the purpose.

i would use duck tape, instead of the top hats. haha

Re: OEM Strut Bar....

thats wut i meant wen i asked. "do you really need the top hats?".. was wondering to just drill holes.. but then you guys are right not to... defeats the purpose of the bar... still dont know how thick it is though...in diameter of course...

Re: OEM Strut Bar....

yeah you need them there are holes already there just no bolts

for the bar to actually work the bolts must be attached to the upper suspension mounts.

forgot to measure the bar got distracted when i noticed after starting the car after putting the radiator in that my auto tensioner is bad
