Icon5 headers & exhaust combo

Does anybody know how a combo such as DC sports ceramic headers + Apex'i N1 exhaust would be like?

I think apexi WS2 is the nicest sound I've heard on a H22, sounds clean

DC Headers + WS2 can'to go wrong with that

be sure to have some 3'' piping so it sounds the same

Hey guys, i'm also thinking about just getting an ESPELIR cat-back and be done with it. IMO it sounds solid to the max. Actually i'm leaning more towards that now since i'm only looking for a nice exhaust note...

NICK don't you have an N1 on yours? I think i saw that on your rear at the meet...LOL j/k

Yeah the espelir is mad cheap too... I saw a website the other day selling it for $275 because they were discontinued and they are trying to sell what they have in stock.

It's UPGRADEAUTO.COM That's the exact site that i ordered from. The list price was $600 but i'm ordering it for $390 with shipping (costs a lot to ship it from the west coast to the east coast) but it's still a GREAT VALUE because i personally think it sounds solid. I talked to the guy on the phone (which is the only way you can actually order from them) and asked why was the price so unbelievably affordable and if they were going out of business or something. He replied that they weren't going out of business but ESPELIR is going to retract from exhausts and concentrate more on suspension (which is actually their specialty) or something like that. So this brand of exhaust is going to be very rare, and this kind of a deal only comes once in a blue moon, so get yours while you can!!!!! LOL

Hopefully my transaction will be finalized because i read on their site that they have trouble with Chase Manhattan Bank, which is my bank. So hopefully that goes through without any hitches...if not, i will be very disappointed and will have to order something else from somewhere else.
I'll keep you guys posted.

make sure the diameter and the inlet size on the dc header is the same size as the stock exhaust manifold, otherwise youll lose back pressure if its bigger, unless ur boosting then it doesnt matter much. and if anything if its not the same size u might lose a pony or two.

Re: headers & exhaust combo

LoL that's the EXACT DESIRED RESULT i'm hoping for. When everyone had the loud exhausts, i stayed with my quiet stock exhausts the whole time. And now when everyone is trying to be quiet, i'd like my exhaust note to be a bit louder. I go against the flow sometimes (not all the time, just when i feel like it).

I like to be different sometimes. Call me contrarian, but it's just a matter of personal preference and individualism really. Thanks for the input guys, it's really appreciated. And no i don't think it's going to be a 5" tip if that's any consolation LOL! I'll keep you guys posted!

Re: headers & exhaust combo

As you all now know, i have opted for the ESPELIR exhaust system. It's finally arrived. I'm pretty excited. I'll be installing it in the coming weeks.
Thanks to all that took the time to participate in providing input!

I believe you can find it there. If you still can't, then let me know and i will send you a direct link.

Re: headers & exhaust combo

why the hell are people caught up in how an exhaust LOOKS?!!?!?

idk about the rest of you, but the most important factor that i want outta my exhaust is how it sounds and performs, with looks being the least of my worries.

idk, maybe thats just me with function > form
