side marker help

i just recently put ek side markers on my lude but im not sure how you wire them to stay lit. anyone wired some to stay lit and blink?

for them to stay on you would have to splice into the parking light, for them to blink you would have to splice into the turn signal, and im guessing there would need to be a relay in there somewhere. someone with more electrical knowledge than me should chime in soon.

but i wasnt talkin about the bumper marker im talking about the side marker that is on the fender

I wired my jdm sidemarkers directly into the front bumper sidemarkers, just went from the new marker, route over the inner wheel well, then connect at turn sigs'

yea if i just wire them to my blinkers they wont stay lit because bb6 preludes signal lights dont stay lit

ok... here we go... --still bored,


use a SPDT 12V relay....
Terminal 30 is hooked to the parking/running light (+)
Terminal 85 is run to the turn signal (+) wire
Terminal 86 to chassis ground (the screw that holds the light in place as long as it has bare metal under it)
Terminal 87 - not used - cap off with an insulated spade connector
Terminal 87A - to the new side marker light in your fender

easy, BASIC, and fail proof.
