Oh hi! You must be new here. Welcome to the wonderful world of authentic JDM parts... It doesn't matter how expensive it "looks", if it is an authentic JDM Honda Part, expect to pay out the ass.

Also, yes the Type S engine is also an H22, and the valve cover will fit any H22 or F20B IIRC.

You say you want the factory red valve cover, and the Type S valve cover is the only one that is a factory red OEM genuine part.

Don't buy it from any of those sites though, get it from H Motors Online. They are a respected import company and they always have it cheaper than anyone else:

$145 + shipping

Exactly what I did.

Aircraft cleaner - $6
High temp primer - $6.50
Crinkle red high temp paint - $10
6 pack of beer - $5.50
new gasket kit - $26

And I could have done without the beer.
I just pass mine off as JDM because it's a ****ing genuine Honda cover and there's no way in hell to tell that I did it myself.
It took me about 2 hours to do it, then the drying period. It's worth doing it yourself. Just make light, even passes and you won't **** up. With the wrinkle paint, it will self-correct itself if you do make any small **** ups. If you glob it on, then yes, it will look like **** but since I just told you how to do it right, you shouldn't have that problem.

Re: valve cover help

ya man, do what si speed did. save a sh!t load of money, and have the satisfaction of doing it yourself. it's the exact same part, only a differant color. do you really want to spend $180 on paint?

Where can one find this crinkle red high temp paint? Do you have a product name so I may do a search? Thanks in advance for your help!

edit: I found this... "VHT Wrinkle Plus Red High Temp Spray Paint Coating" is this the same brand you used? Thanks.
