Icon6 weight reduction/cruise control removal

hey does anybody know step by step how to take the cruise control off a 97 sh cause im tryng to do some weight reduction but the cruise control is hooked up to the computer and the abs and the throttle i just dont want to screw anything up

its only hooked up to throttle. are you going to toss it??? if so cut the cable that goes the the cruise control. you can then take the rest of the cable out from the pedal . as far as the actuator it should be held down w/ 3 or 4 10mm bolts. then you have some harnesses to detach. but honestly.... not much of a weight reduction... just give you space under the hood.

There is also a vaccum line you will need to cap.

Just curious, why take off the Cruise Control? It doesn't rob you have much (if any) power.

cruise is pretty damn easy to remove.

Game over, Colin!

Snatching the cruise control isn't very effective for weight reduction. Take the power steering off (Also less strain on the engine which increases fuel economy and horsepower slightly) and gut the trunk first. I wish I had kept the CC now cause I spend so much time on the interstate. I'm too lazy to put it back on even though it'd only take like 10 minutes.
