Suspension Question

I recently put in my tokico illuminas and the drop was 1.5/1.5 and now my car look raked. this question is to you suspension experts. do you think its ok to do a 2.0(skunk 2 springs)/1.5(tokico springs)

Re: Suspension Question

huh? you talking about having 2 different sets of lower springs? skunk 2 for the front and tokicos for the back or vise versa? yeah you can do that. there isn't anything that says you can't as far as compatibility goes. but why? just for looks? as far as functionality goes, the stiffer spring rate should go in the back. and i'm almost sure skunk2 is gonna have a higher spring rate.

yes two different sets of springs. skunk 2 for the front and tokicos in the rear. and yes again its for looks because the rear looks lower then the front. maybe they need to break in?

Re: Suspension Question

when i had tokicos the rear did sit lower then the back. they never really "broke in" they stayed the same the whole time. i think thats just how they are. how much of a difference is there? thats why you're better off getting adjustable springs.

Re: Suspension Question

you may want to think about buying an adjustable shock system. i have one for my lude and it could save you the hassle of having to buy different springs for different looks. it is an expensive investment but i think it could potentially benefit you in the long run. if you are a semi-experienced mechanic im sure you could adjust it yourself as well. just some food for thought...
