couple of questions.

Hey guys, i have not been online in a while and my lude is having a few problems....

One: I took off my CAI and sprayed choke cleaner in the throttle body....Well for those of you who do this, you know the car doesnt start unless the throttle is open -.- when the car is reved to 6000 RPM or VTEC kicks in a poof of black smoke comes out my exaust.....I asked around and a guy highly recomended from personal experiences to put "Restore" in the oil (silver can at walmart says restore on it) i did that, now my oil pressure is reading 80 at 70 mph when it normaly reads 75, is this normal?

Two: when the car is warmed up if i rev, when i let off the gas and RPM's drop, sometimes they drop below 500 RPM's almost to 0, and sometimes below 0 and my oil pressure dummy light flickers....I know a number of things can cause this, but what would be a good place to start?CEL IS NOT ON

Three: My headlights are nice and fogged, on the inside......i heard from someone to get the stuff they put windshields on with (the glue) and get a razor blade and cut the old seal off and polish the inside and out and re-seal it with the windshield glue stuff......is there a better way to do this? i want to try and avoid buying new headlights if at all possible....

Four: does anyone have a problem with there seat when you move it back and forth to where say the right side of the rail locks but the left does not?

please help if you can =) thanks guys

This is normal for our Ludes to blow back black smoke out of the exhaust, but if yours is more than others its oil blowing by your valve guide seals. About your oil pressure it climbed probably due to that engine restore can you bought did you know that they make different size cans for different size motors? Now hopefully you used the correct can, even if you didn't I would recommend changing your oil again right away. Pony up the dough and get yourself some Z Max.

My Lude does this too, I have read some things on this forum that talk about this and even show I DIY for cleaning. One of the forum regs should chime in and give a link, sorry I really don't have time right now to search for it.

I have heard this too, however I have heard that you turn your oven on low heat set the headlights in there to soften the glue, this makes it easier to take the clear plastic lense off the rest of the headlight housing. Polish it then place back on you might not even need that windshield glue do a serach its on here DIY.

Four: does anyone have a problem with there seat when you move it back and forth to where say the right side of the rail locks but the left does not?

No I don't have this problem actually sounds like one of your springs on your left side track is broken/ came loose. pull the four bolts holding your seat in take it out of the car and flip it over and compare sides, make sure it looks like the right side just only mirrored.

please help if you can =) thanks guys
Good luck!!!

Re: couple of questions.

set your oven to 250 degrees and preheat it, then set your headlight in there for 6-10 min, this time varies so much because newer better ovens will work better and faster. i have taken apart many headlights using this method, but dont blame me if you mess something up. when you take the headlight out make sure you are wearing some sort of heat resistance gloves, and use screw drivers to pull the headlight apart. after you clean the lenses push the lens and body back together and place the headlight back into the oven for the same amount of time that it took to take it apart. then push both pieces together and you should get a good seal.
