Removing Spoiler

I want to remove the spoiler from my car to have it painted, i know you take out the two bolts but how do you disconnect the wire that goes into the spoiler to the brake light?

Re: Removing Spoiler

-four screws
-pull wire a little bit
-you'll see a plug, pull that apart
-spoiler should be seperate

Re: Removing Spoiler

Yeah pull the wire out several inches there should be a plastic quick disconnect plug then just stuff that back down into the body of the car. I guess you are putting the spoiler back on? If so then just retrieve the plug and reconnect if not. Are you going to fill your holes and if so have you thought about the third brake light in most states it won't pass inspection without it.

Re: Removing Spoiler

Yea, i found it i was just never pulling the wire out enough. And It did look pretty sexy without the spoiler but it would cost alot more to get the spoiler painted then to get the trunk plugged and painted... and i dont have any money because the somebody hit me and drove off the other day.. new hood and new front bumper, so i just said f it while i have it in there getting them painted ill get my spoiler painted.
