Coolant bypass issues...

So i recently did the coolant bypass modification following the instructions in the DIY thread on it.

I simply followed this picture...

and bought a connector to connect the two hoses shown together. After about 200 miles i threw a p0505 (IACV). I left the car idling while I was getting money form an atm and when i came back the CEL was on and it was idling like it had a super aggressive cam (haha). It would accelerate ok but when i put in the clutch it would lunge and just not idle right. I reset the ecu (pulling the radio fuse) and it went away for about another hundred50-200 miles and came back. Again, i reset the ecu and now am here typing away. Any ideas what the problem could be?
