EGR Valve on the SKUNK2 Manifold?? Advice

Ok everyone, i'm in desperate need of your help. I have a 1998 Base model. Freshly built motor and 2 day old paint with a brand new OEM lip kit from H and A. I can't drive it because there is no spot on the SKUNK2 intake manifold for the EGR Vavle. Since the EGR Valve is not there my check engine light is on and it won't pass emissions. Since i can't pass emissions i cannot get my car registere. There for I cannot drive it Can anyone help me?

unless you got some connections and can get hooked up w/ an inspection sticker, your gonna need a diff IM if you need to pass emissions.

i know its not what you wanted to hear, but what were you honestly thinking we were gonna say?

It's mounted with a mounting bracket and it's plugged in along with the vacuum line but the check engine light still comes on.

Re: EGR Valve on the SKUNK2 Manifold?? Advice

Hate to break it to ya... But I'm sure when you bought the IM it said "for race applications only". This is one of the many reasons why... I can almost guarantee, you wont be able to pass emissions with that IM, whether the EGR is hooked up or not. Unless you got connections...like twokex said... Like a friend that is a smog tech...
