Need honest parts price help

I'm listing this car up for parts on e-bay & craigs list.
99' Prelude
Base model
Auto tranny
I need help in asking fair prices & need to know what are the big sellers, & most needed parts, so I can advertise it properly. I want fair prices, for me & the buyer. Don't wanna get ripped & don't wanna ask too much & lose interested buyers
Can anyone pass along some advise?
Thanks.

Re: Need honest parts price help

You could always get a rough idea from Kelly Blue Book!!!

www.kbb.com

I suggest to use that only to get an idea of where to start your pricing and work from there.

Re: Need honest parts price help

Already went there to get entire car prices.
Was looking for price ranges for parts like engine, tranny, body parts etc...

Now that makes good sense. I don't know for sure what I've got, I'm new to Hondas. Is my engine an h22? Are all 99 auto trannys the same?

Re: Need honest parts price help

sell the car as a whole honestly, not a lot of people are going to buy parts, unless you got a spot at your house or some type of storage where your car wont be bothered by idiots trying to steal it or parts, or bothering you in anyway.

i say sell car as a whole since its easier to sell then have lets say just a shell with a tranny and a whole interior...most people are just going to take major parts, your defiently going to junk the car with the auto tranny i can gurantee that since no one is really going to swap for an auto,

best of luck to you and your decisions!

Re: Need honest parts price help

You know.....funny you should mention selling it as a whole...I tried for 2 months to sell it with no luck, since I listed it online as "sell for parts", today, I've had 5 people call wanting it whole. Hmmmmmm, funny how that works out.
Thanks for the input, hope it sells this time around.

then sell it to them

the best way to find out value if your selling on ebay is type in the part you want to sell, click completed listings, and see how much the part sells for.
