Threw a rod need help!!

So apparently my ludes engine doesn't really have 60k on it..
or at least thats what im thinking. So anyways my engine is fcked and I dont want to get rid of my lude!

Does anyone have any idea how much It would cost me to get a new h22 and have a shop swap it? I dont have the tools or the time to do it myself.

Any estimates would be appreciated..

thanks!

about that, yea. on my 3rd engine swap, i had the entire engine + tranny out in about 8 hours, doing a majority of the work by myself.
going back in, the engine was in in about 6 hours, and the tranny was on in another 4 hours. this was ENTIRELY by myself, no help from anyone.

then hooking everything else back up prolly takes another 6-8hrs.

Re: Threw a rod need help!!

well if you look around you can find a base block easily... since they also came in accords... i got my sh block for 800.... and sh's are hard to find... bases piece of cake... check and see if you have a Honda parts connection near you... you should be able to get a complete block for like 600 and they can put it in for bout the same or less...

Re: Threw a rod need help!!

Accords had F series engines..minus the euro R.

The euro had an h22 but that wasent sold in the us.

us market accords from 94-97 had F22 98-01 had F23 variants.

thats for the 4 bangers.

Re: Threw a rod need help!!

How can I find a honda parts connection?
Would It be cheaper just to have the engine repaired?
Im not sure how much damage it did, but It only ran for a couple of seconds after it snapped.

Nevermind about the honda parts connection.
I used this new site called "googly" or something like that and found it.
