h23 swap

my main crank pulley is still wobbeling after many attempts to fix the problem, i am tired of dumping money into it. (it is the only thing wrong with the car and its costing me a fortune)
i plan on buying a new engine for my 5th gen (its a 2000 base model), will a h23 fit without alot of work?

will the tranny fit, starter, ext.......

Re: h23 swap

Are you talking about the 4th gen h23 or the VTEC euro h23?

Re: h23 swap

Might as well buy a cheap DD while you pull the engine to rebuild it. I bet that would even save money in the end.

Putting an H23 in a 5th gen is blasphemy.

its wobbeling, i changed the harmonic balance...
everything is ok on it, i went to "Kenny Tran" (for those of you who know drag racers) and he said driving it as long as i have my engine would have blow by now so its not the engine its something else, and i met a guy around my area with a lude and his is the same problem so insted of messing with it to much ill just rebuild my current engine and put in a long block h22 or h23 if the h23 will fit o.0

Re: h23 swap

well being as honda motors are internally balanced, it's not a harmonic balancer, its a crank pully, and it "wobbeling" will not cause the motor to blow, will just cause squealing and failing belts, did you tourqe it down enough, those things take 100+ lb ft of tourqe, so hand tightening it with 3/8" ratchet just aint gonna cut it? have you bought a new pully for it?

He has an H22, they are known for breaking crankpulling bolts. I bet you if u took a look and tryed takeing them out 1 will come out half way because it snapped off on the inside.

Re: h23 swap

we put the new balancer pulley on and we torqued it to specs.....the wobeling is the main crank, ill post a video on it

EDIT: i made the video, but its not great when doing it alone and reving xD

anyways, the main crank pulley wobels, but when i give it g as or open the throttle it stops wobeling, or appears to stop.
