Re: newb question........be gentle

local mechanic shop, local performance shop, or a honda dealer......where i live (dallas area texas) honda is not the way to go....its your opinion check around see who does it the cheapest, or check the going rate in your area (here it is 80$ per hour) and go from there

Re: newb question........be gentle

if you wanna go crazy on tune up

Dizzy cap
Rotor
NGK spark plugs
NGK spark plug wires
KandN Oil filter
Royal Purple racing oil
Cone air filter or KandN drop in filter
Ceramic Brake pads (if needed)
Gaskets
Top off all fluids!!
Ps fluid
M/T or A/T tranny fluid
ATTS fluid
Coolant

Was the fuel filter and timing belt changed?
look into that!!

First you said tuned...then you said tuned-UP. Which are you talking about?

Re: newb question........be gentle

Tune up is replacing parts your supposed to replace anyway ever so often like spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, flush coolant, etc.

Getting it TUNED involves tapping into your ECU, soldering some stuff, and paying someone to program it for you.

I reccomend a tune up before getting it tuned. It's useless if you don't have reliable parts.

A performance shop. Where do you live? That might be helpful to know.

Re: newb question........be gentle

if u have knowledge of cars or atleast a decent knowledge of cars u can do it yourself. if u use the pdf manuals as a guide to do ur tune up u will be fine.

He's talking about tuning. Not a tune-up.
