Clutch & Flywheel Surprise! :0

Yesterday I installed my new clutch and flywheel (cc stage 2 and cc light weight flywheel). I was very happy to put in a performance clutch and light weight flywheel to see how it upgraded the car.

After many hours of getting to the clutch I found that the car already had an 8lb flywheel and performance clutch!!!!!! WTF? The car only has 86k and Im now putting in its third clutch!

Some of you may remember my blue motor thread. Blue Motor? The motor had to be removed to paint it. Know im wondering what other internal performance parts my car has if any. Why would someone pull the motor just to paint it. They must have done something else.

Ive been to the track twice. One of the race days I ran against another 5th gen prelude and smoked it, but she was a horrible drive. The problem is Ive never driven another prelude so I have nothing to compare it to. Dyno would work.

When you shift from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd, and the tires "chirp" (i.e. break traction).

Re: Clutch & Flywheel Surprise! :0

Does a new clutch just feel heavier or something? That's why it sucks to break it in?

No a new clutch is very easy to burn so you need to drive like a grama until its broken in. No vtec for 500 miles
