98 prelude over-heating?

Temp. gauge is running close to the red mark. Changed the thermostate and heat sensor. An infra red gun shows normal running temp but the near red temp. guage setting is unsettling.

Re: 98 prelude over-heating?

did you bleed all the air back out of the cooling system after changing the T stat, are you leaking water from anywhere?

Re: 98 prelude over-heating?

may have to take the radiator out and get it flow tested, but then again it could be a faulty gauge, but i would check and double check everything before you drive it around with it running that close to the red

Re: 98 prelude over-heating?

Is your radiator leaking? May have to replace it. Try a coolant flush also if you haven't done one in a while.
