attention every advance engine tunner Head Rebuild drama

A little background:
My head(or head gasket) developed a leak which caused coolant to leack into the chamber

alright so i quickly dissassembled crap and took the head off. The process was difficult cuz this is my first time removing a car engine head but there were no major problems.

So while cleaning the block i seen a some scratchs on the top of the 4rd cylinder some scratches were deep i would guess as deep as the thickness of your fingernail. Is this a big problem? if so can I do anything about it? can I do anything about it that doesn't envolve me taking off the block?

PLEASE HELP

If you mean there were scratches deep enough to catch your finger nail on the number 4 cylinder wall then something is really out of spec.

I believe, and will be corrected by the more knowledgeable ones than I, but if the scratches are deep enough to catch a finger nail you can't simply re-hone the cylinder and must bore it out but do not exceed 89mm.

here are some images of the scratches they are positioned on top of the 4th cylinder. im thinking that plaining the block might not get all the scratches out.

You need to get your block milled, If you don't then your head gasket will most likely to fail again.
