Anyone know any good places to get the brake light on the stock spoiler aside from my Honda dealer

Re: Spoiler Light

Are you talking about the LED strip? I think it would be easier to just find a spoiler with one than to mod one that doesn't have it.

If you can't find it through Honda, I'm sure you could get like an 8 inch red LED strip and mod it to fit if you really wanted to. It would be cheaper than to get it from Honda also. Having that brake light on the spoiler isn't all that great really, I have it and would rather have it without honestly. But, we all want what we don't have. If I didn't have it I'd probably want it.

Well it's supposed to have one, ya it's that little 8 inch or so red led strip

in winter apparently it was bloody cold and when the previous owner closed the trunk the light broke off, I was hoping to get one to replace it, not terribly noticeable or a big deal but meh

I still have the connectors and don't want to replace the actual spoiler as it's in perfect condition aside from the light :P

I just did a little bit of searching and didn't come up with anything except the actual spoiler with the LED bar. Checked H and A also and didn't come up with anything.

Ya one place that I found that sells the lights

Prelude -> 1997 - 2004

then a selection of different lights

I don't know quite what it is but something makes me not want to trust that site

Canada, so if I found an online site they would have to use US post if they were in the states, cause if they use someone like fed ex or something, brokerage fees rape me

not right now unfortunately (at work), it was a clean break though, where the screws hold the strip in is where they broke

it's too bad the previous owner threw it out, I probably would have just tried to fix it

I'll get off work in a couple hours and post up pics then

Re: Spoiler Light

Go to an electrical store and get them to replace what ever LEDs you need. that way it will only cost a couple dollars instead of like 80 i think it is. Mine is out and thats what i was told to do.

If you wouldn't mind could I see a pic of it

I'll probably be calling my Honda dealer tomorrow out of curiosity to see what crazy number they're asking for it

Thanks for the offer but I'm hoping to find one without damage

(I'm hoping to get my car at least on the outside looking as new as possible :P and that little part would be hard to fix properly)

Re: Spoiler Light

^ wow $1000 for a spoiler?!? I bought mine off a guy on craigslist for $75 and it was mint. HandA has it for like $385 US on their website for the whole spoiler with light so $1000 is completely insane. If you want I could take a picture to show you what the light i have is like. You would screw the one side on mint and then the other side just glue and put a screw in the whole and it would then look mint.

Re: Spoiler Light

Basically the spoiler that was on my car cracked in half over time from the previous owners abuse so i picked up a used one from a guy in town. It had the light in it but i had to take the old light off the old spoiler to unplug it from the car and it was all jacked up so the light was stuck on so i basically had to pull the light over one of the screws. Long story short the light has one side with a mounting hole slightly larger than it should. It might not even be a problem but I'm not sure
