Looking to buy a new Lude...but first some questions!

Looking to buy a new Lude...but first some questions!

Well I have a 2000. Its mainly fixed up as a show car. I have been debating on if I should sink money into it when I really don't want to have to much fun and make that 1 mistake and ruin the body. Sooo now I am looking at buying another lude. I figured I would go all JDM body and just spend the money on the engine. So what type of lude would be the best for this and how many miles is too much to look at buying or does it matter since I will be practicly rebuilding the engine?

How much do you wanna do to the engine? If all you want is to do basic mods, then get an SH as they're a better base.

However if you do much more, you'll lose the ability to tune with a piggyback (VAFC, AFC Neo, et al) and as a result lose the ATTS, then you're lugging around dead weight.

We've got one member on here who's still going strong wel over 200k miles, so as long as it was looked after in previous lives you'll be right.

So if I'm looking to boost, do internals, and apexi stuff I shouldn't go SH?

No. No aftermarket (meaning full replacement ecu, like Hondata, etc) has the neccessary bits inside it to drive the ATTS, rendering effectively useless. Plus many of the more ignorant manufacturers constantly say parts don't fit the SH, despite much evidence to the contrary, like people running those parts successfully for years.

The only way you can keep ATTS is to use a piggyback. Hang on, I'm repeating myself, sorry. Nevermind me, I'm a bit sick.

Although if you're doing all of that, I'd reccommend going with an LSD, which will do a similar job to ATTS, sometimes better depending on the opinion of the driver, and the conditions of the situaiton.
