thats your crank pulley, and its not on the transmission. your tranny is on the other side of the motor hahah.

are you positive the pulley is loose? or could it possibly be that the timing belt covers came loose and rubbing against the pulley, cuz thats a much more common problem, and muchh easier to fix as well.

Re: Got a loose pulley. How do i tighten it?

alright so i figured out that the crank pulley is loose and is flapping back in forth up against the timing cover. thats what the noise is. i tried to get the crank bolt off with a impact and it wouldnt budge. so i am taking it to a shop who is going to get it off for me and put me a new one on. the guy charges like 60 an hour and does really good work. how long do u guys think it would take to put a new one on belt and all. im not tryin to spend alot of money. thanks
