Stage 2 Turbo ?!?!?

Ok so i got a 98 sh with 143000 miles on it and my friend's friend has the same thing except with a Greddy Stage 2 turbo kit which he is going to sell for 500 dollars because he wants to do motor work so he is trying to get it back to stock first so i would have to give him the parts from mine to make his back to normal. I dont know if i should do it but it is an amazing deal so i dont know. would my stock engine be able to handle a stage 2 turbo without working on the internals even if i only run it at like 8 psi?

Re: Stage 2 Turbo ?!?!?

Sure it will handle it but for how long is the question? Could be 10 days could be 10 years but if you don't build it first then you'll never know.

Better question, what were your compression and leakdown test results?

Re: Stage 2 Turbo ?!?!?

stage 2 doesn't really mean anything, we don't own SRT4's fortunately.
how long it'll last is directly correlated with how well its tuned (and to an extent... installed)

we need more specifics in order to help you out. i.e. turbo size, trim, and A/R, to name a few.
