axil boot question

my axil boot has been torn for about a month now, i just got a quick fix boot (the blue one if that helps) cut the old off put the new on and super glue it, does any know how well they work if done correct?\

also i have stock axils, would it be a good idea to get new/referb axils, the referb are 69.99 with a 50$ thing to bring the old in to them or buy a new for 79.99 for both???? suggestions please =)

i would go for the new ones... once it leaks grease out, i would just change them... they'll only wear out faster... and then leave you stranded... i had that happen to me in my 2nd gen.. it sucked... still got the ball bearings as a souvenir...

Re: axil boot question

dude seriously. quit asking such dumb questions and search next time. its common ****in sense to fix something if its broken. a quick fix is just that.. a quick fix and isn't meant to hold up for any extended period of time. and you super glued it.. that should be a pretty good hint to tell you its not gonna hold up for a long time. next to your engine and transmission, your drive axels experience some of the most heaviest wear and tear. get a referb. if you get them from the right place they offer lifetime warranties. (thats the life of the car) and you can get free ones for a while. refurbs are like new. in fact they are new. they just use the original shaft and replace all the insides.
