Budget coilovers

Looking for some coilovers but i dont want to spend 3000AUD on tein ones or 5000aud on zeal. What you guys think i should go for. I spoke to someone and they reckon skunk2 coilovers are ok. Also heard reports that ksport ones are also ok.

Let me know what you think.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Budget coilovers

You get what you pay for.

Do you really want to cheap out on parts that keep you safely on the road? I sure hope not.

Re: Budget coilovers

I've never heard of Teins running more than AU$2000.

If you want a low budget setup then order a set of Ground Control coilover sleeves, and an adjustble strut like a Koni Yellow or KYB AGX. However with the AU$ as low as it is currently this won't wind up that much cheaper than the Teins.

Got a quote for teins. They are 2600 plus gst(10%)
Found some K-Sport ones. Doing some research on them at the moment.

What? No admin BS.

" oh if I had a quarter for everytime I hear this one." ha haha

Still I agree "you get what you pay for".

Also if you wanted budget you should have bought a different car. These babies aren't cheap.

The coilovers or just the springs in general? Cause I was looking into a set of springs, coilovers are just a little to aggresive for me I don't have a track 5th Gen.

p.s your friends RSX's problem its probably not the coilovers, maybe but my brother has the 04 RSX type S and put aftermarket springs on and now at the boot there is a kind of sqeaking noise (sometimes popping sound) maybe he went with some polyurethane and didn't grease it down?

what coilovers did you get?

to the op, just get a good set of coilovers. if you try to cut corners now, you will spend money on your suspension again later on. take it from a guy who's spent thousands on different suspension set ups. i finally got tired of it all and bought a set of tein flex in 2005. i'm glad i did... because i haven't had to touch it since.

Re: Budget coilovers

I spent multiple hours researching this same thing. After reading many opinions and reviews on all the big brands I ended up going with the koni yellow/ ground control coilover sleeve. I just had them installed and they are absolutely amazing. Don't go for tein, they are overpriced
