Icon2 HELP!!! Headlight/Tail Light Problems!!!

Aloha! Recently I picked up a '00 Prelude and for some reason there are problems with the lights.

Headlight (Passenger side):
-The low beam doesn't work at all. (bulb changed and nothing)
-High beam bulb is dimmed as should while in low beam mode but when high beam is enabled, the high beam bulb shuts off.

Tail Lights:
-when foot is not on the brake pedal, tail light isn't on as it should but tail lights work when pedal is pressed.

I'm not knowledgable at all in terms of electronics so i'm clueless on what to do wiring and fuse wise. I've tried to search but nothing came up as far as what i saw so I decided to start a thread. Hope someone can help me with this because I can't drive at night knowing i'll be pulled over because of the lights. Thanks for reading!

Re: Headlight/Tail Light Problems!!!

So, I'm assuming that the driver side work as intented right? Now, when you turn on the headlights switch (low beam) your high beam bulb should not be on at all. Are you sure that is what happening? 5th gen tail lights and stop lights are seperate so your tail light could be burnt out.

Re: Headlight/Tail Light Problems!!!

you can try changing the relay and if that doesnt work just get your money back for the relay and you can also try to reset the whole car because my car did some weird things before like that and i just took the ecu fuse out for a night and when i put it back in everything was okay

good luck

Re: Headlight/Tail Light Problems!!!

1. I'm 99% sure the fuse is blown for the headlight

2. I'm 99% sure the filiment inside the bulb for the brake light is burnt out. There are 2 filiments for the brake light bulb. One for brake and one for just the light being on
