Icon8 Cant be fixed

we'll just got back from the dealership where i was having my prelude serviced. Seems even after they replaced the bad ATTS oil sensor(540$) that the code came back up and it seems my gauge probs and atts probs are all tied together because the complete FUC*ing Douche that had the car before me put some aftermarket wiring into the atts control module that basically has wrecked my life.
So they tell me that they dont feel comfortable taking the aftermaket wires and such out because there afraid that my module might short and cost me an additional grand. They want me to take it to an aftermarket stereo specialist to have them take the wiring out. Let me tell you if i ever saw the guy that owned my car before me i take him around town dragging his face off the pavement to let him know how my tires feel w/o ATTS.
so at this point i dont know what to do and if it can ever be fixed i figure i mind as well break down and sell the car that i loved so much but screwed me from the day i got it.

Re: Cant be fixed

save about 50 pounds if u take it out. the atts is a nice function to have and u definitely notice the difference in handling between a base and an SH model. if anything u can keep it if u get it working then supercharge the lude so u can have the best of both worlds unless u get a jdm lsd transmission or something like that which they make. the atts can only handle so much power 250 horses max until its non functional. do whatever u think is best, good luck

you will throw an atts light if u take the unit out of the car, but u know u could always just take out the bulb for that light or somethin of the sort.

Re: Cant be fixed

just wondering...but what the f*ck can even be wired INTO the ATTS?????

Why is it so difficult to unplug the battery so they don't have to worry about frying SH!T.

Just undo the negative cable. If you have a stock radio, know the code, if you have an aftermarket radio, just do it.

As long as you disconnect the battery it shouldn't be an issue doing the wire removal, unless wires are crossed, and you put the battery cable back on

you can have a mechanic do it, but i would bring it to honda and tell them to take it off and disconnect it for u, i wouldnt try and get rid of the unit so soon man, they are kinda hard to comeby that are in good condition and cheap price, see if u can fix it first and make it work, if not then scrap it unless u really want a new one and your car will handle like a dream
