I have a few questions...

Hey everyone! I do not own a prelude but I am looking at one and I had a couple questions that I figured you all will be most helpful at answering. It's a 1999 base model with 130,000 miles. It is lowered and sitting on Konig rims. It has an aftermarket exhaust and a body kit... I'm not into body kits but this one is alright haha. It's body does not look to have any rust or dings. Also, it is a 5 speed and all for $6500. Would this be a good deal? And is this high mileage for a Honda engine? Any comments or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Re: I have a few questions...

most likely depends on how the person drove it. If he babied it, it should be fine imo. If you buy it just replace the basics, fluids, belts and what not.

Re: I have a few questions...

when buying used i have always taken my ludes to the honda dealer for a used vehicle inspection. of course this is money out of your own pocket before it is even yours so you gotta be lovin the car and serious about buying. but at least you can find out everything it needs. but also remember honda is hoping you will be bringing it in for those repairs so don't let their repair estimates scare you. all you wanna know is what's wrong with the car. you can always find a used part and DIY. good luck!

Re: I have a few questions...

yeah i just paid 5200 for a 99 SH with a little over 150K but i wasnt scared becasue it was a commuter car for this older guy driving to his recuiting office 80 miles a day 5 days a week and an old lady owned it be4 him. it runs liek a top too and i love it but fo real i wouldnt give 6500 for a base with that many miles, and do a thurogh inspection first.

For an auto repair estimates it would be a good deal for you. Just make sure the car does not have typical rust or rot and also look at the engine.
