Re: front & rear sway bars

understeer is when you turn the wheel but the car still wants to push forward through the turn. oversteer is when you turn the wheel and the car wants to slide around. apply that info to these links.

Re: front & rear sway bars

If your car has stock sway bars and it's fwd (or even rwd), it's almost a guarantee the front is stiffer than the rear, OR, the front isn't stiffer than the rear but your stock alignment settings cause slight to moderate understeer.

In general, a moderate front sway bar with a STIFFER rear sway bar (read thicker) will improve the characteristics of your cars understeer, reducing it enough to have better turn in capabilities.

Re: front & rear sway bars

Many people run the stock front swaybar and a thick rear, and this is more than capable for anything on the street. If you're planning on tracking your car then spend the time testing different combinations of front and rear swaybars until you find a setup that suits your driving style.

Some track Preludes run incredibly thick rear bars, and no front one, though none reccommend this for the street as the sudden weight transfer will turn the car around any time you aren't careful.

x2 I've always been told getting a thicker front sway bar for street driving is just a waste. I got the Suspension Techniques (ST) rear sway bar and I freakin love it. My car now has very little body roll during fast cornering

I know you have to buy cuff links for that sway bar bc they're diff, but how much did you pay in total for the bar and links?!?! And where did you buy it from?!?!
