Gaps in OEM front lip

Does anyone else have these gaps in their OEM front lips? I installed this myself and I know I installed it correctly, it's not hard just line up the holes with the bolts. So the way it's on is correct I just think its really weird I have these gaps. I didn't buy this off ebay or anything, I ordered it from my local Honda dealership so I am pretty sure it's genuine.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else had any advice on this or if this is just they way all of them look.

Also does anyone think id be worth for me to take my car to my local Honda dealership and see if they can make it fit better?

Re: Gaps in OEM front lip

nope haven't hit anything with it ever since I got it. I've had it installed on my car for about 2 or 3 months. It had this gap ever since I've installed it.

Re: Gaps in OEM front lip

glue? Nothing in the instructions from honda said anything about glue or providing glue with the kit. There was 3M tape that the instructions said to put on the sides but as you can see in the pictures the lip is right up against the side of the bumper so that's ok. I followed the instructions word for word and just find it odd it puckers out like it does

Re: Gaps in OEM front lip

i remember when my dad was buying his accord it took an extra 4 days for them to get his lip kit on the car because they put the accord and the lip kit in a heated garage waiting for them to both warm to the same temperature.
Then we they were both the same temp, a pro body guy came in and put them on adjusting the bolts as ness. THEN the car sat for another day or two to make sure they didn't buckle, and they took it out on a warm day.

we then took it home and left it out our non heated garage for about a week to slowly adjust them to winter,
then finally after all that heat acclimation we started driving it.

Re: Gaps in OEM front lip

probably the bolts underneath near that area are pulling too tightly towards the rear direction. try letting them get a little more slack. ive seen gaps similar like that in pics so i wouldnt really worry but you can mess with it to help some

Re: Gaps in OEM front lip

Thanks for the tip nordic97mist. I'll try to give that a shot hopefully that's the problem. If that's not it I'm probably just stuck with it how it is now.
