ebay hid kits

Has anyone bought or know someone that's bought any of the $50-$60 hid kits on ebay? There's a bunch of different kits from different sellers, and I was thinking about getting one. let me know if you have any advice.

Oh yeah, and I searched for this for a while and couldn't find anything specific on it, but if there's already a post a link would be appreciated.

thanks!

Re: ebay hid kits

yeah i bought two kits. one for headlights and another one is for fog lights.
i hade a problem with bouth. so i dont recomend to buy hids from ebay. so now i have an hid kit made in japan and it cost 180. so there is no problem with this kit. but this kit is just for a low beam. its not realy comfortable. now i planing to change for a BI xenon hid kit.

and one more thing. check thr craigslist. i saw a lot of posts that stores selling hids.

Re: ebay hid kits

also, does anyone know if you have to get a kit for H1 conversion? I wouldn't think it would matter since your not using the halogen harness anymore..

Re: ebay hid kits

in a bouth cases it was a balast problem.
when i recived the first kit for headlights i did the installatin in a same day and i was surprised that the left headlight didnt work. and i heared a noise frome balast. so it might be bad balast.

same thing with fog lights kit.
i tryed to contact a seller but no answer.
yeah you can return money thrue pay pal but it will take time. so decide by yourself where to buy hid kit.

That's the kit I bought. Had no issues for the year I used them, then resold them local for $75

Re: ebay hid kits

This question has been asked alot. eBay kits are good, just find one that comes with the Xentec brand ballasts. supervtec (or some variance of that) is a real nice guy and sells them for $45 or $50. I've had mine for a few months now with no problem. I got 10k bulbs. Other members that ordered the Xentec ballasts report having no problems at 2+ years.

Yeah... But I'd rather not post them since 95% of the people on here are haters. I have the Dual Halo CCFL Black Housing headlights, and my HID's run through those halogen projectors. Yeah there are hot spots... But, my cut off is legit and I don't blind any oncoming drivers. My two cents? Even though it is a Halogen projector, it's still a projector. I would never put HID's in non-projector housings. Looks tacky...
