Timing belt replacement questions

I just bought a 2000 lude last weekend (one owner all stock). It currently has 114K on her, and still is on the original timing belt. The previous owner replaced the clutch and was planning on replacing the timing belt later. (He never got around to it) My question... What is the recommended interval for changing the timing belt. I'm assuming around 100K. If it needs to be changed, what other components also need to be changed. Per my research I see the water pump is driven off the timig belt, so it too will get changed. Any gaskets, seals that need to be changed. Also any recommendations as to sources for parts.

Re: Timing belt replacement questions

I actually think you have to change the timing belt at ~60K

Re: Timing belt replacement questions

IMO I would jus change it regardless. Better safe then sorry when it comes to dealing with the T-belt!!!

Re: Timing belt replacement questions

Where are most buying replacement t-belts, waterpump, etc. I'm getting a very wide range of prices at NAPA's to Advanced Auto. Do most use OEM? All right, give up you source for parts...

Thanks
