Changing timing belt, What else should i change?

Ok, so i took half the car apart to change the timing belt. When i took the valve cover off the gaskets were gone and leaked oil into the spark plugs so car wouldnt start. SO my question is where can i get a valve cover gasket set and the bolts that hold the cover down. One of them is stripped on the top. Also is thier anything else i should change while i wait for the cover gasket set? IT has 170k miles on it.

I just got done doing the same thing as my balancer belt went on mine. my car is currently at 180k. i changed the waterpump, balancer belt, timing belt, tensioners, and also converted the timing belt tensioner to a manual via the auto to manual kit. oh and you can get a complete valve cover set on ebay that comes with all the gaskets including spark plug boot gaskets. the bolts however do not come with.

Valve cover gaskets tend to leak fairly often. you wouldn't have worry about it too much. Try beck/arnley gasket set they will do both valve covers.

Re: Changing timing belt, What else should i change?

Things to do when changing your T-belt

-Change T-Belt
-Change water pump
-Change front main seal
-Change cam seals
-Do a valve adjustment
-Drink a few beers
-Change the Auto tenisoner to manual tenisoner
-Change valve cover gasket
-Change spark plugs(if needed)
-Change distributor cap and rotor(cheap parts with lifetime warranty)
-Change radiator fluid
-Use Honda Bond or any other type of gasket sealer when putting in the new oil seals

You can get pretty much all of these parts at www.importrp.com cheaper than going to the stealership
