having acceleration problems

so when i push down on the gas pedal im having trouble with my car going faster it takes a little bit then revs up high and will go faster. then when im idleing it pulls a little then goes back to being fine then pulls again and continues this pattern but the acceleration is the part that is worrying me. And for the record i dont have a knock sensor so i dont know if this has anything to do with this problem but needs some opnions?

Re: having acceleration problems

Im having the same acceleration problem, it seems like it lugs for a second but then it takes off. My idle is at a steady 500rpm though

Re: having acceleration problems

Has it had a tune up recently? Plugs, wires, fuel filter, oil change, air filter, rotor and cap. If you haven't changed any of those parts in a while start there first.

Good luck
