exhaust advice

Hey im lookin to get an aftermarket exhaust and i figured its not worth it to spend all that money for the high end stuff like the greddy evo2 cause im not lookin to go crazy with mods no turbo and what not probably just headers, intake, and chip maybe some other small stuff to give me a little more power and make it sound sexy...so any suggestions for a nice sounding lower priced exhaust thatll still give me a little extra power and torque? I have a 98 base by the way

Re: exhaust advice

Don't bother with a header the gains are very little, get a ws2 or with the money you'd save get an evo2 it'll be worth it

Re: exhaust advice

Somewhat on topic, but does anybody know what hp gain can one expect from switching out the stock muffler for a bosal or flowmaster?

Re: exhaust advice

barely, if any. pick your exhaust according to sound. you'll be much happier in the end.

you will not see the same gains and sexy nice sound with a cheap exhaust versus an expensive. there is a reason the brand names are so expensive. its because YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET! you wanna cheap out on stuff, ok do it but dont expect your exhaust to hold up very long and dont expect it to sound like a $500 system either.

Re: exhaust advice

custom exhaust is ALWAYS the best and cheapest way to put a performance exhaust on your car.... for budget minded people who don't need to make themselves feel cool.
