h22 misfire

Throwing a cylinder 1 misfire code, checked compression, its in spec, replaced plug, still no dice. Its a misfire that only registers at cruising not under load. it isn't quite that noticeable so it's not a huge misfire. Any thoughts on what should be checked next?

Re: h22 misfire

I have a similar problem, the warning light come on a few days ago and the codes showed that 1st, 2nd and multiple cylinder misfire. Since there are multiple misfires I dont think its got anything to do with plugs/plug wires. Some people on the other forum claim that 1 bad ignition coil or bad injector can cause the multiple misfire code to appear, which is a cheap replacement in either case.

Re: h22 misfire

I had misfires on mine for some time and I fixed mine by cleaning out my intake manifold and putting in new stems or valves, cant remember the exact name of them right now. I think there are 8 of them though right on top of the manifold.

Re: h22 misfire

Join the club...I replaced all the basics too, cap, rotor and so on. My car has been in the garage for 7 months, she pissed me off, I think I traced it down to the evap system and I am going to install my transmission this week and then will try to replace anything in the evap system...if this helps with my mis-fire codes I will post pics and info

GL all, I think this is going to be a 5th gen. problem for ALL owners sooner or later. I am at 180k and it first happened at 165k miles.
