the last "brake (or break) light stays on" thread

from here on out. every "my brake light is stuck on" or "my brake light is intermittent" or my "E-brake light is stuck on" thread i see, i will lock and not even answer the question. so ****IN SEARCH. for one, it is BRAKE. not BREAK. break is to break something. like i'm gonna break your face. the other one, brake, can be used as such... my brake light is stuck on, what do i do? and i especially love how people will use them interchangeably.

better yet, i did the searching for you. and you know what, if you searched, and searched properly, you'd'a found this first.

9 times out of ten, add fluid. the other 1 time, its your fluid level sensor going bad. it happens more times than not in the winter, because, even though its a hydraulic fluid, and hydraulic fluids aren't supposed to expand and contract due to weather.. but THEY DO. especially old fluid. but not like water or air. and that little bit of contraction, and how sensitive the sensor is, will cause the light to go on.
