Re: pls help... tokico blues with tein s. tech springs

That's the exact setup that I'm looking to do with my 01 Lude Base. I have the S-Tech's, just need the Tokico blues. Nice find

Re: pls help... tokico blues with tein s. tech springs

Sounds nice, the craigs list link is closed I guess. But I saw your thread on the tein s's.
Sorry but I had to ask the guys/gals on here about there knowledge on Tein coilovers. I have been looking and I see a range of prices I guess its the applications. I want a nice look and ride, so which series do I need to get. I won't know how much of a drop I want until I get my TSW 17's, so the coilovers are probably a good idea. Basically all I know about the Tein coilovers are that there is a set for around $900, another for $1200 and I think one for $1600. So my thoughts are the 900s are a sporty type, the 1200 a semi race street application and the 1600s will rattle your teeth out of your head on the highway. So are my thoughts right?

Re: pls help... tokico blues with tein s. tech springs

Tokico blues with S tech are too soft for me. Currently I am running Tein Flex on my car. The ride is firm but comfortable for me. The spring rates on the flex are alot firmer than the stech. Flex 559lb/in front 336lb/in rear STech 240lb/in front 207lb/in rear according to Tein website. If I were to only race the car, I would go for springs around 1000lb/in with some slick tires but this car is my daily driver.
