Re: qq on bulb size

you would get the factory bulb size kit. so for a 5th gen prelude you would need an H1 kit.

Re: qq on bulb size

10k is a lil bluer than 8k but with less light output (lumens). so thats for you to decide.

I was looking at getting some H.I.D'S too. But I saw the Xentec ballast, it was fatty.

Re: qq on bulb size

It's not the kit that gives the best output per se, it's the bulb k that you choose. Yellow (4500k) has been proven to put out the safest amount of light and not blind other drivers (yellow is the easiest on the eyes) about 6k is going to give you pure white (may have a slight slight slight tint of blue) and is extremely bright.

Xentec is a bit thick (a good inch I believe), but it's good quality. You can mount the ballast under your headlight housing and never have to see it.

Keep in mind that putting HIDs in stock housings are going to be blinding people, you're going to have to adjust the position of them once installed to create the least amount of glare. Your best bet is to A. Buy projectors or B. Retrofit your stock housings. (there's a tut on that) Also, no matter what you do, your HID kit is going to be illegal. The only cars that are legally aloud to have HID's is the cars that were manufactured with them, because they were perfectly adjusted so to not blind other drivers.

There's a guy on eBay that sells HID Xentec kits for a good price and it includes w/e color bulb you want. His name is supervtec
http://stores.ebay.com/HID-Direct

I bought my kit from him, had a misunderstanding w/ communication, he not only fixed it, but refunded 20$ on top of it. Good guy in my book. For most items, if it has the make an offer button you can offer him 5 off and he'll take it.

you are wrong, 3000K is yellow and 4300K appears to be pure white in a projector, but in a reflector housing you can see a small hint of yellow from some angles. 5000K is crystal white and 6000K is light blue. please do not give out info unless you know what you're talking about, im not tryin to be a dick it just seems like i have found that people have been giving false info lately on numerous topics..

i get all of my stuff through 3BSpec these guys are awesome. they are a little more expensive than most companies but it is really good quality stuff with a one year no hastle warranty. they also have the skinny ballasts.

Re: qq on bulb size

Well I was looking for not only skinny ballasts, but lifetime warranty too. I know I saw some ads for lifetime warranty HID kits, just can't remember where. The ballast size isn't that big of a deal to me, but the warranty is for sure.

cant say i have ever seen a company that offers lifetime warranties on kits. you better make sure you read through the warranty details so you know what is really covered.

Re: qq on bulb size

http://www.sharphid.com/

So here's a link to an hid kit with lifetime warranty on bulbs and ballasts.
And they come with the slim ballasts too.
I think I need the 35w one right for my lowbeams?
Also I'll be getting H3 6000k kit because they will be going on my e-bay CCFFL Halo Headlights. Yes I already know how you feel about them, but I will be the first to try it I guess. Guinea Pig time.

you are wrong too. 55w is for halogen bulb. 35 watt is plenty for your HID kit kevon54. you can upgrade to the 50w but it will lower your color temp by 1000k.

Re: qq on bulb size

I've purchased the kit on sharphid. If I run in to any snags during install, I'll make a writeup.
Oh yeah, sorry for the thread jack too.

Re: qq on bulb size

My mistake, I wasn't trying to give out false info, i was tired and didn't feel like checking my facts. Thanks for correcting me. As for the Lifetime warranty, they're only $50 does it really matter if it dies out? supervtec on ebay gives a 2 year warranty w his product.
