Re: getting a check engine light

your ABS and SRS light shouldn't affect your inspection test unless its a safety inspection and not a emission test....can you get the code for your check engine light????

did the lights start right after the swap?
what are you talking about damaged what ribbon wire ...

srs light... could be something so simple as the seatbelt sensor. common in accords and preludes.

abs light flashing... could possibly be a wheel sensor. meaning that it is not reading that all the wheel are spinning. at each HUB... where the axles go in the front of the car and hub is on the rear there are sensors that read that each wheel is spinning. if you installed new axles w/ out the abs rings...or even if the sensor is damaged or unplugged it will give you these lights.

as for the cel. there are two ways to find out the code. go to a autozone rent the scanner or have them check the code for you. or....
by the dlc connector.... which is found under the radio bezel and to the right... almost where your passengers left foot would go... there is a panel w/ carpet ...remove it. there is a grey plug... dlc and there is a blue two wire plug. get a paper clip... straight the paper clip then bend it in a U shape. insert one end into one pin of the blue two wire plug and the other end into the second pin of the blue plug. then just turn your key to the run position. now... the cel will flash at you. count how many times it flashes ... it will usually flash slow then fast. for example... two slow flashes and 1 quick flash is ... 21.... 1 slow flash and 5 quick flashes is 15. get it>>>?? do this the message me w/ what numbers you get. hope this actually helps you.
