Re: opinions/suggestions

get some kyb agx's with ground control coilover sleeves. you can ride stock height or slam it all the way to 3". you can adjust them anytime you want so thats good especially if your lude is a DD. you can also customize to your own settings front and rear. good luck with the upgrade.

Re: opinions/suggestions

If I could start my lude all over again, coilovers would be the first thing I would buy. Then wheels.

Re: opinions/suggestions

I just spent 505$ on skunk2 lowering springs and KYB AGX shocks. Hoping for a 1.75-2" drop all around.

For 800$ I think KYB AGX + GC coil overs + Ingalls camber kit = the sweetness. Just need to install it yourself then get an alignment done ASAP.

Re: opinions/suggestions

spend as much as you can. DONT EVER go cheap on suspension. then again i'm a suspension junkie. i don't have a lot of suspension work but i went with expensive quality parts. first off its universally known that you absolutely MUST get shocks when you lower.. especially if you plan on testing out your lowered lude even once in a while. IMO coilover sleeves are cheap. (i didn't say junk). but they do get the job done with less money. i would get real coilovers if you want adjustability. but thats just my opinion. if not then go with any main stream company. tokico is OK at best. cheap sets that get the job done. but don't abuse them and auto-x with them. i learned my lesson. tein is good. quality at a decent price. or you can mix and match struts and springs from different companies.

Re: opinions/suggestions

You have an 87 or 97?

If it's an 87, this is the wrong section...

Re: opinions/suggestions

ohh. yeah my lude is a 97'. i started working at the age of 17 and by the time i was 18 i bought the car all on my own. so now im ready to upgrade it and make it look even better. thanks for all the suggestions so far guys. but yeah i was kinda of leaning towards getting a good quality set of coilovers. are there any that you guys can reccomend that work well with a fifth gen.?
