Icon2 Milano Red vs San Marino Red?

Hey I have a 1997 "red" base prelude, and the original color is oxidized quite badly (especially on the trunk, bumpers, hood, and roof). I want to repaint it soon and was wondering what color to go. Original San Marino Red or Milano Red, pictures of the comparison would be great

Thanks

Re: Milano Red vs San Marino Red?

I have a 01 Milano red. This pic was at a meet 2 weeks ago. I bought my lude brand new and it is garage kept so the paint is still in pretty good shape. Good luck on your choice.

Here is a 98 San Marino I believe. He was at the meet too.

The San M. looks darker that the Milano red in person. Hoped I helped

Re: Milano Red vs San Marino Red?

They are both excellent reds. I would stick with factory color. Much easier. I'm going through the same problems with mine.

Yeah, the 1997/1998 preludes were San Marino Red, and they're the only years that where that color was given to preludes. All 4Gs and 99-01 5Gs are Milano Red.

*EDIT* and that's why I'm member #1 of the Red Prelude Bandwagon

Re: Milano Red vs San Marino Red?

The difference will be noticed in places like the door jambs, underbonnet area, etc.

Personally I prefer the Milano red too. But do what you want to do.
