Icon9 Catalytic Converter ? Please help me out

I just ordered a magnaflow performance converter, and the ends dont have the spot for bolts to connect it to my car, and my mechanic told me to get one with those. Some people on here have said this magnaflow converter worked fine for there preludes, so are they just going to weld the pipe right on to my exsisting pipe or are the parts available for me to buy so my mechanic can weld them on? Please let me know what the hell i should do, i dont want to go to the shop and them say sorry.. we cant put this on, because it doesnt have the parts on both ends up just bolt the converter to my car. I got a pic of the magnaflow converter i bought without the bolted ends, and a random pic off the internet with what my mechanic was talking about, with the bolted ends on each side. Let me know what to do guys, thanks alot.

Re: Catalytic Converter ? Please help me out

Most of the time, those universal catalytic converters, being Magnaflow, CatCo etc will not bolt right on...most of the people here(as you've searched and read) usually will take this situation to a muffler shop to simply weld it on. That's what I did.

Your mechanic should be able to source you a catalytic converter that should bolt right on...but then again, I'm sure his price will be as high as the dealership. This is why the Magnaflow converter is attractive...inexpensive replacement part
