Will a Skunk2 Dual bend short shifter fit in a Prelude?

The reason I ask because I had one with the tenth anniversary knob and the shifter and knob combo were awesome! I sold my CRX last Monday with the shifter

I am picking up my 2000 Prelude base with H22a swap on Monday and wanted the same shifter. Will it fit no problem? thanks guys. Can't wait to pick up the lude I got a great deal on it and it looks gorgeous.

short shifters are usually vehicl specific. do you have a part number? did you use google? some 4th gen applications will fit the 5th gen too but i highly doubt your CRX combo will fit.

make sure you are searching on the web before posting threads please. also always utilize out search function. thanks and welcome to the site!

Re: Will a Skunk2 Dual bend short shifter fit in a Prelude?

Thanks for the welcome.

I have searched. I've been reading on this forum for a while now as it seems the best informed out of any Prelude forum. Out of all of my searches it seems the 5th Gen is very limited when it comes to choices for short shifters. I have seen the Forbidden as the number one option but their sites says they are not available yet.

Plus the skunk2 setup on my CRX fits 88-00 honda civic and Integras. I was kind of hoping it would fit the lude as I don't have many other options. Money is not a problem.

Completely disregard the thread! just did some more research. changing a shifter on a 5th gen lude thwarts all other Honda shifter swaps. Another animal all together.

Those CRX shifters are the 'pivot-ball' style, connected to two rods...Civics, CRXs, Integras utilize that style.

Accords, Preludes = shifter cables.

It's actually a bit easier changing shifters on a Prelude...there's no need to get underneath the car and getting dirty

They have never been available.
They are apparently still/always will be, in the making.
Your best bet is a PSPEC SS.
I have one sitting in my room and I have been waiting on a full day off to install it. I plan on installing it on Tuesday. But we'll see how that goes.
