Icon5 door lock problem

ok this started this past saturday ...
i have an 01 lude ... with stock keyless entry
i push the unlock button once on the remote and it unlocks my drivers door no problem there.
i push it twice, its suppose to unlock the passenger side door it doesnt !
But i can lock the doors with the lock button.

now inside, when i push the lock and unlock button on the driver side, it locks and unlocks the drivers side but only locks the passenger side (cant unlock it unless done manually)
and the passenger side the switch doesnt unlock or lock anything.

conlculsion:

i can only open my passenger side door by opening the drivers side door and opening the passenger side door manually.

any solutions ?

My only guess would be to replace the motor. Its the only sure fire way to make sure it works properly.

Yea but I could see no reason OTHER than the motor why it wouldn't unlock. Unless somethin was blocking it. Take the door panel off and see.

Re: door lock problem

Sounds like the passenger door actuator is bad. If that is not the problem, you have a multiplex problem which can be a b!tch to fix. Download the 5th gen service manual and reference pages 23-125 thru 23-142. It tells you EXACTLY how to fix your EXACT problem.

Re: door lock problem

depends on the problem. the door actuator is going to be a specialty part from honda. Call em and ask or check this out:

"30285 033 1 ACTUATOR ASSY., L. FR. DOOR LOCK $87.66" from Majestic

You may be able to just fix it though if it is a simple problem. Does it make any sound when you hit unlock?
