Catback? Test Pipe?

So i have had people tell me that any catback sounds absolutely terrible with a test pipe. But since I do have a test pipe on hand I am woundering what catback exhaust sounds the best with a test pipe? any catback exhaust such as skunk2, greddy, hks, buddy club, tanabe exc....

any straight thru muffler design (N1 style) is gonna sound like shiitt, way too loud and raspy.

but a chamber muffler or a looped muffler will sound a bit better and deeper.

test pipes usually always make it sound louder and raspier.

What about a magnaflow highflow cat or somthing like that? hwo would the catbacks sound with one of those?

Like twokexlv6coupe mentioned, it depends on the style muffler you add and also the size exhaust piping used

What you DO want to do, is buy ONE high flow cat, and a twin loop muffler. Then you want to go to your local exhaust shop and have them weld in all 2.5" piping with a RESONATOR

You'll have performance and a quiet exhaust.

alright well i know its going to sound ricey and what not but i just dont' want it to be crazy over the top loud and raspy a little rasp is ok just not rediculouse amount, like a deeper kidn of hum well idling would be nice so how would a test pipe with the greddy evo2 sound? and thanks for the info everyone i appreciate it
