I took my lude into the shop today about the strange noise its been making when i accelerate in first gear and when i start my car, the guy says its my rear catalytic converter.. but i cant find any REAR converter.. anywhere, i can find a normal catalytic converter, but is there a difference from a rear converter or a typical converter?? I found a magnaflow converter on ebay here

rear cat??

lol

I told you it was probably the CAT.. how many miles on your car? was it the HONDA dealership that you took it to?? I'm telling you that you can probably get it fixed for free at the dealership.. emissions warranty...

If there are too many miles on your car just look into getting a decent High flow cat online.. don't buy a OEM honda cat.. its cheaper and better to go after market IMO

Re: rear catalytic converter??? Help please

Your car (like every car before and after it) has only 1 cat. It sits as close as reasonable to the header as they work best when hot. From the cat there is a resonator of sorts, then rear muffler (this is the bit you see from the rear of the car).

If it is the cat, then do as Distant suggested.

And which aftermarket hi-flow cat would you suggest distant? And everything fits ie: o2 sensor, as it would in an oem cat?

1badbb6 is probably on the right track.. i didn't research it much since honda gave me the OEM.. i can just say with a 90% chance that i'm right.. that a cheaper aftermarket will outperform stock.. cheers for air flow!
