Icon8 same knock different day

hello all: im new to this site, I just bought a 99 SH little while ago, was wondering if anyone knows the knock knock from the rear problem, when i bought it it was there, I hit a curb pretty hard going to fast around a turn and messed up the right side, had alot of stuff replaced and still there, just had a set of mugen showa,s put in, they were used but seem to be real nice car rides so much better now, also lowered it about 1", when i hit a dip or lump or corner, car holds the road real nice, but when i hit a pot hole!!!!!!!!! dunk dunk sounds like the shock wants to blow threw the trunk.

Re: same knock different day

maybe it's the rubber bushings, my friend got a similar problem with his civic but on the front right. It wore out on him and it makes a metal clunking sound when you go over bumps. hopefully this helps :D

yea you need to reuse the bumpstops. they're orange rubber/foam things that prevent the shock from completely bottoming out and if you don't replace them.... the shock will bottom out and give you the knockning that you hear.

also, where in jerz are ya??
