Body kit questions.

So i have a 97 black honda prelude. When i bought it , it had a body kit that had the side skirts and back bumper molded. The front is also a body. I personally hate the front.

The problem is i am trying to sell my car. I just bought a stock bumper to put on the front because i am sick of looking at the ugly front bumper. The real problem is that the back bumper that is molded to the car is coming apart. The one side has broken the seam and the other side has been cracked. I went to some body kit shops and most of he people didnt want to touch it because its somebody elses work and they dont know how there work will stay with the previous work. They are charging loads of money if they accept to do the project.

Should i leave the back alone and attempt to sell it as is. Also i was thinking of getting a lip kit for the front. So it matches the back at least. And was wondering if i should even bother and where to look for a good priced decent front lip.

Thanks guys.

Re: Body kit questions.

Wow, if it were me, i'd just install the oem fromt you mentioned, and try to sell the lude afterwards as because honestly, sounds like it'll be a hassle and expensive to undo the molded panels

Re: Body kit questions.

I second the pic motion. I'm interested in seeing how a molded kit looks.

Re: Body kit questions.

id take it to a shop or if youre gunna lose too much money, just try to sell it way it is and include oem parts. If you try to hack it off, you might end up cutting off something like the bumper mounts.

pics?

Re: Body kit questions.

why would someone do that to a lude?! there are gorgeous in oem trim! WHY!

ok so my suggestion: get oem parts and get away from that car as fast as you can!

Then: buy a stock lude

Re: Body kit questions.

The oem parts and paint are going to cost you...getting the parts fixed might be a lil cheaper but you never know. If you were thinking about keeping it, I'd replace with OEM parts but since you are trying to sell it now...get it sold.

Either way you are going to take a hit, one is just going to be a lil less than the other. But you never know, price the parts & paint and go from there.
